We achieve environmental sustainability by:

  • Using POD (print on demand). We aim to be paper-free, and the majority of promotion is directed through social media.

  • By engaging with Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest and the local community of Plympton and NeighbourWood Project we received a grant to plant 15 native trees in order to increase natural biodiversity around our pitch

  • Encouraging and promoting car sharing and public transport to training and games.

  • Reducing waste by extending the use of our kit over two seasons.

  • Leaving the pitch/playing fields in the same or better state than when found them by removing all waste and litter.

  • Encouraging our players to use reusable water bottles.

  • Working with suppliers to ensure their ethical and sustainable practices and diversity/inclusion align with our own high standards.

  • We have previously work with Akuma using fully recycled polyester kit; each garment contained roughly 8 plastic bottles that otherwise would have gone to landfill.

Community Engagement

For our community, we create a positive impact by:

  • working with Marbles Lost and Found CIC who provide mental health resources during our last two seasons,

  • planning to work with Devon Mind Charity amongst other local and national charities. including Movember and fundraising for the Terrence Higgins Trust

  • being actively involved in local and national campaigns to combat homophobia and promote LGBTQIA+ inclusivity in sport.

  • recognising the need to tackle the stigma around mental health, so we provide a safe place on and off the pitch to talk freely.

  • working with mental health charities and making them accessible to those who need help and are working towards being added to the social proscribers network

  • encouraging people to take up sport.

  • develoing people as players and also as advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community.
